THE IGNOCENCE OF A CHILD

Seven years old David said to me the other day while we were doing the dishes in the
kitchen, when I grow up, Ill tell my wife to not eat too much food and to go to the
toilet immediately after eating so that her stomach will not be big and she becomes
pregnant.
I can understand why he doesnt want his wife to get pregnant; hes probably terrified!
How can a child raise a child? But I got thinking, How I wish God is ready to change His mind about this labour thing and just form the baby from the food I consumebecause you see as a young girl, it scares me when some mothers share their delivery stories with me. But it still doesnchange the fact that Im gonna have over ten kids though. lol.
OK, so that aside, the topic of this post reads; The Ignocenceof a child. What is ignocence?you may wonder, it is that point where your child displays ignorance and innocence through or in what he says or does. That statement David made is an example of what I call ignocent. Itobvious he is uninformed, made that up in his mind or maybe someone told him this, whichever way we know it is not the correct thing.
A woman does not become pregnant because she eats too much and doesnfrequent the loo. And I am now at this point where I donknow what to reply him with. I had a good laugh, you know. Hes being ignorant, hes being innocent but as we all know, ignorance is costly even for a child and innocence is true only when it knows the truth. And besides I am a Christian, how can I ignore this lie at the expense of truth and keep quiet? Ill tell
himIll tell him the truth. Of course I know the subject of reproduction is not an info a child of seven years needs right now. So I just told him, well, actually DavidIt  doesnt work like that; being pregnant doesnt have anything to do with what your wife will eat, youll get to know better soon.
No affirming this ignocentstatement with silence, no long story, no laughing it off and shying away from the topic and definitely no chiding him for thinking of marriage at 7. I believe my little David got the point anyway. and that solves it.
Do you agree with what I did? YES or NO? This is certainly what Ill do next time a child comes to me with one of their interesting, ignocent ideologies because to be honest with you, all I did with David was laugh it off and brought up another topic because I feared I might say too much and hell know too much I wanted to keep his innocence. I know better now: DO NOT KEEP YOUR CHILDS IGNORANCE OR INNOCENCE AT THE EXPENSE OF THE TRUTH because true innocence is in knowing the truth.
So heres what I think,
Drop your views on the comment box and share your childignocent story here. Id love to hear from you.
